YouTube to Live Stream First Bundesliga Match 2015 Free

bundesliga mapFootball / Soccer fans in the United States can watch freely the first games of the 2015/2016 Bundesliga season  online, thanks to Fox Sports.

The kick-off match on Friday will be livestreamed online on the sports network by YouTube, which will have defending champion Bayern Munich vs Hamburger SV in the first Bundesliga match to be live streamed to U.S. YouTube users.

The match will be available live on the Fox Soccer YouTube page. “We’re über-excited to bring Bundesliga matches to U.S. soccer fans on YouTube for the first time ever,” said YouTube’s head of North America Tim Katz.

This is the first time Fox Sports is live-streaming soccer sporting event on YouTube, and the first time Fox Sports is able to show a Bundesliga match.

The sports network acquired the rights for the league’s 306 games starting this season after signing a pact with 21st Century Fox and Germany’s DFL soccer association two years ago.

Fox Sports will show 58 of the matches on Fox Sports 1, 60 on Fox Sports 2 and the rest of the matches via Fox Soccer Plus. The network is also offering its apps and website for viewers who have to first authenticate their pay TV credentials to access these events.

Howevver, the Friday’s YouTube live stream showing Bundesliga match will be made available to only US-based YouTube user, regardless of whether they have a pay TV subscription or not.


This time, 18 teams will participate in the Bundesliga and 15 of them qualified directly from the 2014–15 season and two sides were directly promoted from the 2014–15.
