Xiaomi’s Redmi 2 Prime May Cost Around 7,000 in India

Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime, an upgraded version of Redmi 2 was accidentally spotted on Amazon India. However, the device was listed as unavailable.

The official announcement for the device may be on August 13, during Xiaomi’s grand event in China.

The upgraded version of Xiaomi Redmi 2 comes with 2GB worth RAM instead of 1, even it offers 16 GB internal storage instead of 8GB.

The original Xiaomi Redmi 2 is available in the country right now for just Rs 5999. There was a prce drop recently of Rs 1000.

For a device with this much caliber, launching Xiaomi’s Redmi 2 Prime for just Rs 7000 or less will be extremely affordable. However, there is no confirmation from the company that when or for how much it is launching in India.

Well as damage was done by Amazon, they accidently listed the device and that was spotted by GizmoChina, since then it has been taken down.

Phone comes with a 4.7-inch IPS Display with 720p HD.

It is powered with 1.2 GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor with OS Android 4.4 KitKat-based MIUI 6. However there is a rumor that the Chinese phone company may unveil its new MIUI 7 software on 13th August.

With 8-mega-pixel camera in rear and 2-mega-pixel front facing camera. The battery capacity seems to be 2200mAh which good for the price range.
