Xiaomi Mi3 Flash Sale Stopped, Registrations Only for Cheaper RedMi 1S Open Now

Xiaomi has finally run out of stock for its Mi3 smartphones priced Rs.13,999 with features worth any rival phone in the stable from Samsung or Nokia and stopped its “Flash Sale” for now and is diverting its focus on the latest Redmi 1S phone with a price tag of Rs.5,999.

Again the latest phone will be available on pre-registration, which is available on the company’s MI store and the sale opens on September 2, 2014. To register, one has to visit Flipkart and they will be directed with a message “Go to MI store and register for our next sale on Sep 2nd, 2014. Why Register?” and the link takes visitors to MI Store in Flipkart.

The link opens an MI page seeking visitors to register for its 40,000 units, which will be sold online at FlipKart for pre-registered visitors. Another tip says that those who register 2 to 3 hours before the actual sale begins will be lucky enough to get it. mi3

The variety is paying off as it is attracting more visitors who may even end up registering for the sale and the mad rush to buy may even propel them to hit the button buy when it begins.

Otherwise, the Redmi 1S is getting good reviews as the Moto G killer as it has has a 4.7 inch IPS display with 1280×720 pixel resolution and powered by a quad-core 1.6 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 mobile chipset. With a 1GB RAM and internal storage of 8 GB, expandable up to 64 GB.

It runs on a version of MIUI that is based on Android 4.3 Jellybean. The Redmi 1S sports dual SIM, one the standard SIM and the other for nano SIM with its own batteries and own rechargers. On camera front, it sports an 8-megapixel camera with a wide f/2.2 aperture and a LED Flash. It also provides burst mode, auto-focus, zero shutter lag, HDR and real-time filters and the second camera with 1.6 megapixels is good for selfies.

The device is switchable between the ‘Light Mode’ that gives the UI the bigger icons and the other ‘Feature Mode’ with all fetures and small icons. Battery is a 2000 mAh one.

Mi3 Flash Sale Lessons: Last six sales of Mi3 by Xiaomi were sold in flash of moment beginning at 40 minutes on its debut on July 22, followed by similar sale online at Flipkart at 2 pm. But the second sales was over like a flash earning the company Rs. 28 crore in less than 4 seconds and the third sale was over in 2.9 seconds, followed by the fourth one in 2.3 seconds and the fifth and the sixth sale on consecutive Tuesday was also over in 2 seconds.

The entire flash sale has revolutionized the sale tactic and remains a lesson for many ad honchos for a long time, while IIMs and other business institutes will ponder the way it was done and not lagging behind many ponzi schemes will try to take leverage on creating sensation and selling the product in the future.
