Xiaomi Dangles Redmi Note Flash Sale Next Month, Lures Indians Ahead With Contest, Media Hype

The Xiaomi said it would launch its next big gadget Redmi Note in India priced Rs.9999, to be made available online at Flipkart on December 9, while the pre-registration may begin few days earlier but the company is determined to keep its saga of flash sale on every Tuesday alive as ever.

Currently, Xiaomi is holding weekly flash sale of Redmi 1S smartphone online at Flipkart and the next sale is on Tuesday November 25. The registrations to participate in the sale are open till Monday Nov. 24.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note is already released in Taiwan and Indonesia, where Xiaomi claimed they are being sold at the rate of 10,000 units in 40 seconds and want to enter the bigger market in India next month.

Xiaomi global operations chief Hugo Barra, in his blog posting on Facebook said: “Mi Indonesia: 10,000 Redmi Note out of stock in under 40 secs today! Redmi Note coming to India next.”

To begin with, Xiaomi is luring Indian buyers to participate in a contest for a good design and drawing but the last date was over yesterday, that was November 21. It reads:

Redmi Note runs on Xiaomi’s MIUI OS, a tweaked version of old Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and sports a 5.5-inch 720p IPS display, with 1.7GHz MediaTek MT6592 octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM.

With 8GB memory, it can be extended with a microSD card slot up to 32GB. On camera front, it has one 13MP rear camera and another 5MP front camera for selfies. It is fitted with a 3100mAh battery.
