Watch ‘Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu’ with Chiranjeevi – Review of Episode 1

As announced, Star TV-owned MAA TV aired its opening grand episode of “Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu”, the Telugu version of Kaun Banega Crorepati, hosted by Telugu megastar Chiranjeevi on Monday with a participant locking in Rs.12.5 lakh, short of three crucial questions to get megaprize of Rs.1 crore.

The opening episode clearly missed Ngarjuna, the host who has familiarized the show with his charismatic approach to each every moment. His style of “Chitukalo” was reformed by Chiranjeevi to “Chiru Viramam” (small break) and computer anchor has been named “Masterji” now.

Above all, MAA TV Logo has changed to Star TV logo, which is red and dominating on the screen, sometimes not falling in line with the overall visual’s colour code. Otherwise, Chiranjeevi is more cinematic in his approach and his emphasis on pronuniciation of certain English words shows off his old style.

The questions have qualitatively changed and perhaps depending upon the candidate. In the opening episode, the contestant happens to be a quiz enthusiast and a narrative on his post-cards to his son studyin in Rishi Valley School depicting several general knowledge and awareness issues had taken the centre-stage.

Today’s episode, which is second, will see the contestant winning more prize money and even facing the question of Rs.1 crore, before which he hands over a medal to the host with some drama involved will be shown. Until then, we have to wait and watch whether the contestant will win Rs.1 crore or not. If he wins, then it will be a Bang Opening for “Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu”, which never saw anybody winning the huge amount before.
