Vijay’s Upcoming Tamil Film ‘Puli’ First Look Posters Out

Tamil hero Vijay’s upcoming film “Puli” poster was out on Saturday, much before the expected official release on June 22, the birthday of the actor.

In keeping with the current trend, the poster shows Vijay as an ancient warrior similar to Rajinikanth’s “Kochadaiyaan” and Prbhas’s “Bahubali”. He was shown with a sword in one poster and in modern clothes in other posters. However, the original posters from the film producers will be released on Sunday night, June 21, marking the birthday of the actor on June 22.

Vijay, who turns 42 on Sunday, is currently holidaying in London. Otherwise, the social medi is abuzz with his upcoming film posters and greetings pouring in from his fans in Tamil Nadu.

To be made with a huge budget of Rs.100-crore, the film “Puli” (Tiger) as the name suggests surrounds a plotline of revenge and it may traverse births similar to ‘Magadheera’ in Telugu.

Puli is not a period drama. It’s an action-adventure on the lines of Russell Crowe’s The Gladiator”, said Shibu Thameens, one of the makers of the film.

Directed by Chimbudevan and produced by PT Selvakumar and Shibu Thameens, the film features Vijay, Shruti Haasan, Hansika Motwani, Sridevi and Kannada superstar Kiccha Sudeep. Sridevi is returning to Tamil films with this film.

The release date is set for Ganesh Chaturthi on September 17 this year.
