As expected, the UPSC has announced its result early in the day on Saturday and the total list consists of 1,236 candidates for services including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and other Central services.
The first four topper of Civil Services are Ira Singhal, Renu Raj, Nidhi Gupta and Vandana Rao, with Suharsha Bhagat the sole male in the top five.
There were 590 candidates from the general category, 354 from Other Backward Classes, 194 from Scheduled Castes and 98 from Scheduled Tribes. The result of one candidate was withheld, said the UPSC.

The interviews were completed four days ago and the UPSC has worked over night to bring the results early to pave the way for its next year’s preliminary exam.
The preliminary examination was conducted on August 24 last year and about 4.51 lakh appeared for the examination. For the Mains 16,286 appeared and the results were declared on March 13. About 3,308 candidates were qualified for the personality test held from April 27 to June 30.
Out of 1,364 posts, the results show that 1,236 candidates have been recommended.
