Sunny Leone, the Real ‘Current Theega’ in Telugu Film with Song ‘Le Le na Raaja’ (Video)

current teegaSunny Leone makes her debut in a cameo role in her first Telugu film “Current Theega”, which is overlapping the image of its hero Manoj Manchu and heroine Rakul Preet Singh.

With her item song, a re-mix based on Telugu famous song “Le Le Naa Rajaa”, which originally featured Jaya Malini and Akkineni Nageswara Rao in “Premanagar” is going viral on YouTube with more than 3 lakhs officially, while the copied versions ranged more than 2 lakhs each already.

While the film, slated for release in 31 countries and about 2,000 screens all over the world, was a re-make of Tamil film “Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam” (Carefree Youth Association) directed by Ponram and starring Sivakarthikeyan, Sathyaraj and Sri Divya in the lead roles, it was also remade in Kannada as “Adyaksha” with Sharan playing the lead role.

The Manoj Manchu-starrer is the first Telugu film to be released in 31 countries outside India including USA, Oman, Australia, the UK, Tanzania, Malaysia, Canada, Uganda, Dubai, Nigeria, Abu Dhabi, Zambia, Singapore, Fiji, Germany, Switzerland, Kuwait, Thailand, Qatar, Sri Lanka, Bahrain and some African Countries where Telugu is still spoken by some erstwhile Telugu-origin expatriates a century ago.

In “Current Theega” Sunny Leone plays the role of a school teacher coupled with an item number in a sizzling posture, it has been able to pull crowds to watch the trailers and soon reflect in theatres when it is released on Friday, October 31.

The film brings in both city and village life to life with two friends deciding to play spoilsport in the marriage of a school teacher whom the hero loves. While the marriage gets stopped in the melee, villains make their appearance and with series of twists and turns, the film ends on a happer note.

The film is directed by G Nageswara Reddy was produced by veteran Telugu actor Mohan Babu’s other son Manchu Vishnu.

However, Manoj Manchu’s earlier films “Potugadu” and “Pandavulu Pandavulu Thummeda” released this year were not great hits compared to his earlier hit “Donga Dongadi”. It remains to be seen whether the comedy thriller “Current Theega” will bring in more moolah than was lost for the Manchu family.
