SONY SIX, not Starsports, to air content run-up to the FIFA World Cup 2014



SONY SIX, India’s sports and entertainment channel, Monday launched an exclusive line-up of content that will feature as an onset to the run-up to the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

As the international home of football, Brazil stands on the horizon to host the biggest football event on the planet; its excitement has already journeyed onto the Indian shores.

SONY SIX, who hold the rights for telecasting the event exclusively in India, look to capitalise on this opportunity through high quality and exclusive content to the fans.

FIFA Route to the Final: 7-episode series maps the successful cup journey of Brazil in 2002, Italy in 2006 and Spain in 2010.

FIFA World Cup Shocks: Multi-episode series that underlines the unpredictable nature of the game through showcasing astonishing upsets by the ‘Dark Horse’ teams over superior opponents in the tournament.

FIFA World Cup Classics: Multi-episode series featuring some of the most exciting, entertaining and memorable games from the FIFA World Cup history.

FIFA World Cup Stories: Six-part series featuring some of the intriguing stories from all the previous world cups that have etched their memories into the halls of memoirs of the game.
