Women and children from various groups on Sunday visited Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence on Raksha Bandhan and tied the Rakhi on his wrist.
The visitors included widows from Vrindavan and Varanasi, members from various women organizations including BJP Mahila Morcha, Delhi Sikh Pratinidhi Sabha; schoolchildren including specially-abled children; and women MPs from Gujarat. Minister for Minority Affairs, Dr. Najma Heptulla is also among those who tied a Rakhi on his wrist.
Sadhvi Rithambara also greeted the Prime Minister and tied a Rakhi on his wrist. In his message, the Prime Minister said,” रक्षाबंधन के पावन अवसर पर सभी देशवासियों को हार्दिक शुभकामनायें।” (Greetings on the auspicious festival of Raksha Bandhan).
