The sequel to 2012 hit film of Pawan Kalyan ‘Gabbar Singh’ is on fast track with Eros International keen on distributing the film after its success in “Srimanthudu” that has made a big splash in the Telugu film industry.
Titled “Sardar Gabbar Singh”, the sequel’s first look has been revealed and here are some pictures. Starring Kajal Aggarwal and Sharad Kelkar in lead roles, the first poster of the film depicts Pawan Kalyan in police dress with two guns in his hands and the caption reads “Guts, Guns and Love”.
The poster was released on the Independence Day with a caption saying, “Sardar Gabbar Singh salutes the nation JAI HIND”.
Directed by Bobby (KS Ravindra) and produced by Eros International with Pawan Kalyan Creative Works and Northstar Entertainment, the film is getting ready for a release this year. Reports said the movie Distribution Rights have been sold to Eros International for Rs.72 crore including all rights, theatres, satellite, audio, remake and dubbing rights.
Besides acting in the film, Pawan Kalyan himself is one of the producers along with Sharath Maraar. Music has been composed by Devi Sri Prasad.

Initially, the movie has been titled “Gabbar Singh 2” and then changed officially to “Sardaar Gabbar Singh”. After his last film “Atharintiki Daaredi” that went on to make a roaring business of Rs.100-crore plus, the actor took to politics and campaigned with PM Narendra Modi in 2014 General Elections.
His own party “Jan Sena” still in dolldrums, the actor is reportedly intent on finishing the long-pending film, which will be released next year.
Though it was being floated as a sequel, no link to the first film will be there in the storyline and it will be a stand-alone film within the Gabbar Singh franchise.
While the initial shooting took place on 29 May 2015 at Malshej Ghats in Maharashtra and at Ameerpet in Hyderabad. Kajal Aggarwal will join the sets in the third schedudle of shooting which is scheduled this month.
