Favorites of Oscar winning stars include actor J. K. Simmons for the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his performance as abusive jazz teacher Terrence Fletcher in ‘Whiplash’. The veteran actor is familiar for his performance from Spider-Man to M&Ms commercials and for the first time his villainy role may get the award for him.

The Oscars’ Best Supporting Actor category has for three years went to Javier Bardem as Anton Chigurh in ‘No Country for Old Men’, Heath Ledger as the Joker in ‘The Dark Knight’, and Christoph Waltz as Col. Hans Landa in ‘Inglourious Bastards’.
