No Shahrukh, it’s Salman, Big B, Akshay and Dhoni on Forbes rich list

It’s surprising that King Khan couldn’t make it to Forbes celebrity 100 list 2015. But seemingly, we have Salman, Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar and India Cricket team captain Mahendra Singh, who have made it to be among the world’s 100 highest-paid celebrities.

The Forbes 2015 list of “Celebrity 100: the World’s Top-paid Entertainers 2015” has been topped by American boxer Floyd Mayweather with $300 million earnings.

Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan are both ties to 71st rank, breaking into the global elite along with the earning of $33.5 Million respectively.

Following the above, we have Akshay Kumar who holds the 76th rank with $32.5 Million earnings and apparently Mahendra Singh Dhoni on 82nd with $31 million dollars earnings.

Surprisingly, Shah Rukh Khan, one of the notable bollywood superstar and no woman celebrity from India could make it through the Forbes list this time.

Ever since 1999, Forbes has been releasing the Celeb 100 list, and said that for the very first time it has made the list “truly international” given the profound changes in the entertainment world and its changed methodology.

“Instead of using US-centric power metrics, we’re simply ranking the world’s 100 highest-paid celebrities, regardless of nationality. The result is a more accurate reflection of the current entertainment landscape, a 21st century reality where Bollywood’s biggest stars (Salman Khan and Amitabh Bachchan, $ 33.5 million apiece) earn more than some Hollywood A-listers (Leonardo DiCaprio and Channing Tatum, $ 29 million apiece).” it said.

Talking about Amitabh Bachchan, Forbes said that the “Bollywood stalwart” has starred in more than 150 movies in his 50-year career. Forbes also noted that Big B bolsters his earnings as the longstanding host of India’s version of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? (Kaun Banega Crorepati), which aired its eighth season in 2014.

Forbes saying that Salman is “one of India’s biggest stars” and has appeared in some 80 movies. His ‘Being Human’ clothing line clocked $ 30 million in 2014 revenue, with proceeds going to his foundation. Similarly, Akshay is one of Bollywood’s busiest leading men, filming an average of four movies a year. He earns top rupee for roles in 2014 movies such as Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty and Entertainment.
