Moto G vs Moto E: Comparison of specs, features at a glance

Motorola’s Moto G, which is successful with its specs and price range has given way to its successor smartphone rumoured to be “Moto E”.

While the Moto G has a 4.5 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, resolution of 720 x 1,280 pixels, it successor phone is likely to have a slightly smaller screen size of 4.3 inches with a 720pixel display and in terms of thickness too Moto E will be 6.2 mm compared to the Moto G’s 11.6 mm, say reports.

Unlike the Motorola Moto G, that is powered by a quad-core Cortex-A7 processor (Qualcomm Snapdragon 400) clocked at 1.2 GHz with a 1 GB of RAM, the Moto E will be powered by a dual-core processor, either Qualcomm or MediaTek clocked at 1.2GHz, with 1GB RAM.

While Moto G runs on Android v4.3 Jelly Bean, the Moto E is likely to come out with the latest Android Lillipop version.

The Moto G sports a 5 MP rear facing camera and a 1.3 MP front facing one while the Moto E is expected to have 2MP front facing camera.

Interms of storage, the Moto G comes with an 8GB/16GB of internal storage with no microSD slot but this lacuna will be answered in the Moto E that will offer merely a 4GB of internal storage but sporting a microSD slot for expansion.
Moto G features a Li-Ion 2070 mAh battery while the Moto E will have a 1900mAh battery unit and in terms of sim, the Moto G supports micro-sim while the new one will have slots for dual-sims.

The Moto G with black front panel has seven different colors to choose from for the back panel and the Moto E may also feature similar panel.
