Microsoft launched its new Lumia 535 smartphone in India today, Wednesday, priced Rs.9,199, adding it to the Lumia line of Windows Phone devices, virtually eroding Nokia brand with its own now.
The Lumia 535 comes with a 5-inch screen display sporting a 1.2 GHZ quad core processor and 3G single SIM or 3G Smart Dual SIM, both loaded with Windows Phone 8.1 and the Lumia Denim update. Other features include one-swipe Action Center, Word Flow, Live Folders and Cortana,
With an inscribed Microsoft logo, the Lumia 535 comes with 1GB RAM and 8GB of memory. With microSD card, the memory can be expanded up to 128GB, or usage of 15GB of free OneDrive storage online is assured by Microsoft.
On camera front, it sports 5-megapixel front-facing wide-angle camera, 5-megapixel rear camera and integration with Microsoft experiences such as Skype and OneNote. The device, which is backed with a 1,905 mAh battery, will come loaded with Windows Phone 8.1 operating system and the Lumia Denim update.
In addition, the company said Lumia 535 is equipped with signature Lumia apps such as Creative Studio and Glam Me, which help take voice-guided selfies from the rear camera. The device is available in colour choices of cyan, bright green, bright orange, white, dark grey and black.
Its video recording at FWVGA resolution is one flip-side of the device, while its rivals have at least 720p HD capture.
