Stoke have always been tricky opponents for United in the past and they will certainly not go down without a fight. United, who comprehensively beat Hull City 3-0 last week will look to capitalize on the momentum and gun for their fourth consecutive win of the season.
The Reds have found their footing in the league and are hovering around the fourth place at the moment. A win will all but aid their cause and place them just one point behind third placed Southampton, who suffered a drawback with a loss against City.
Stoke on the other hand find themselves in the twelfth spot after a narrow 1-0 defeat to Liverpool. The Potters were clearly the better side in the match but failed to convert the plethora of opportunities available. They can’t afford to make similar mistakes against United and Mark Hughes will be vary of this.
A win for the Potters will take them to the top half of the table and who better to entrust this responsibility with than former Barcelona man Bojan Krkic.
The Stoke striker has shown glimpses of what he is capable of and had a fantastic game against Liverpool. His ball control seems exceptional and the ‘not so consistent’ United defense will surely be put to the test.

Key factors in the match:
United will be without Argentinean midfielder Angel Di Maria. The former Madrid player limped off with an injury last week and was not announced as a part of United’s plans against Stoke. It is left to be seen if the fans will indeed miss his presence.
United’s form at home has been shaky in the past and Stoke could well use this to their advantage. Their physical style of play may well put United to the test and it would be interesting to see how Van Gaal tackles the same.
