Bayern have reportedly relented to relieve the 24-year-old German midfielder Toni Kroos to United this summer.
Kroos has a year remaining in his current contract. The United, with Holland coach Louis van Gaal joining them soon as their new manager, reportedly made the decision to buy the German player, their first major signing this summer, reports said.
Otherwise, Manchester United is a buying spree as it has already roped in Van Gaal for a £150 million to improve the Red Devils’ squad this season.
United’s poor performances in the Premier League this season has promted them to go big on replenishing their midfield, central and left-back positions.
While United are sure to sign Southampton left-back Luke Shaw, they are keen in Borussia Dortmund’s Mats Hummels and Marco Reus, it is learnt.
Apart from them, the Red Devils are trying to bring in midfielders Arturo Vidal and Cesc Fabregas from Juventus and Barcelona respectively.
