In a match that both sides will look to desperately get a win, Premier league strugglers Leicester City host Brendon Rodger’s Liverpool side. Both teams have been experiencing a similar fate as of late, losing 3 games in the last four that were played.
Liverpool picked up three crucial points against Stoke City last week with a late goal from defender Glenn Johnson. Liverpool were lackluster throughout the match and will certainly feel lucky to have escaped with all the points.
The star studded lineup has failed to replicate the scintillating football display that was seen last year and Rodgers has to pull up his socks if his side are indeed in contention for the top four slot.

Leicester on the other hand find themselves at the rock bottom with only ten points to show from the thirteen games played. They average less than a point a game and Nigel Pearson may well be feeling the pressure at the summit of the English game.
Leicester have picked up seven of the ten points won at home and they will look to add to their tally against a lackluster Liverpool side. They famously secured a 5-3 win over former champions Manchester United earlier in the league and they have to be at their tactical best if they are to even exert any sort of pressure against the Kops.

Key factors in the match:
If rumors are to be believed, all does not seem to be well between Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard and manager Brendon Rodgers. Even though Rodgers has made statements saying otherwise, the issue is on the back of Gerrard’s contract issue at Liverpool. They cannot afford any more distractions and must focus on the road ahead.
The Foxes on the other hand ended a 503 mins goal drought thanks to Esteban Cambiasso’s goal against QPR last week. They need more arsenal upfront and that will be Pearson’s area of concern. A win will lift them out of the relegation zone and that may act as a driving force in their road to survival.
