Shah Rukh Khan has become the first IPL owner to joins hands with Mark Wahlberg and Grerad Butler, the Hollywood actors to be co-owners of the CPL. “The passion for franchise cricket in the Caribbean is evident with the success of CPL and we hope to bring all the best practices of KKR to the T&T franchise,” SRK was quoted to have told the TOI.

For, Shah Rukh Khan it is just a step in their global expansion vision.  “This is in line with our vision to expand globally. We are thrilled to become part of the cricketing tradition of Trinidad & Tobago,” he said.
Another new member who will be joining the T&T unit will be KKR’s all rounder South African player Jacques Kallis. He will be now mentor SRK’s IPL franchise after announcement of his retirement.
