Jennifer Lopez Loses Weight After Split with Boyfriend Casper Smart; Jay Z, Beyonce Too Tried it

Jennifer Lopez has lost weight after her split with boyfriend Casper Smart but the celebrity is happy about her vegan diet that took away 10 pounds off her thickish body.

The "American Idol" judge said this is second time after 6 years that she lost 10 pounds. In April, the actor went on a flash course for 22-day non-dairy and gluten-free diet.

"People are used to seeing me be kind of thickish, but when I started eating [vegan], right away I dropped like 8 to 10 pounds," Lopez told Extratv.

J-Lo said she was on full vegetarian food for 5 weeks and then took to proteins, chaning her life style and health plan. Currently, she takes a little bit of fish.

"But I’ve got to tell you, I enjoy it. I enjoy eating that way. I never did [before]. And I didn’t know how good you can feel when you put healthy stuff in your body," she said.

The Inquisitr says the actor had dropped to a size 2 from a size 4 after her 22-day vegan diet.

What is 22 Days Nutrition:

The 22 days nutrition course is essentially a vegan food intake based on the concept from Exercise Physiologist Marco Borges who founded "22 Days Nutrition," which is organic and gluten-free food and lifestyle.

Besides, Lopez, other celebrity stars Jay Z and Beyoncé too tried this course.

Borges had first suggested Jay Z and Beyoncé to try the vegan diet for a few weeks. So they did and Jay Z shared his experience online saying it was a "22-day Vegan Challenge," on his Web site.

"Psychologists have said it takes 21 days to make or break a habit. On the 22nd day, you’ve found the way," he wrote on his Web site, adding the diet is also a "spiritual and physical cleanse."

  1. This gluten-free craze is just a fad which some “celebrities” are promoting. Unless you suffer from coeliac disease there are no long-term benefits. I know because I was ‘practising weight loss’ for about 18 years before I finally did it with any long-term success – I suspect most other women reading this article have been ‘practising’ for a long time too. I spent years on one kind of ‘fad’ diet or another, denying myself certain food until I finally caved – and ended up weighing the same or more a few weeks later. It wasn’t until I got a system from that I finally began to understand ‘dieting’ didn’t work – making a lifestyle change did. It wasn’t that difficult either, I just ate more of the food that was good
    for me
