JEE Mains 2017 Admit Cards Released, Pattern Changed

The admit cards for the JEE Main 2017 are released and candidates can download them from the official website

The date of examination is on 2nd April 2017 and the results will be announced on 27th April, 2017. Once candidates clear the Mains, they can opt for JEE Advanced 2017 for admission into IITs. The JEE main online exam will be held on 8-9 April 2017 though results will be on the same day for all.

The pattern for JEE Mains 2017 has been changed considerably by the Ministry such as no weightage for the 12th class marks in calculating the ranks in the JEE (Main) examination 2017 and a minimum of 75% marks in Class 12 required for admission to qualify for the admission in the IITs/NITs/IIITs and such other CFTIs whose admissions are based on the JEE (Advanced)/JEE(Main) ranks. For SC/ST students the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class examination.

The JEE Mains exam is being conducted by the JEE Apex Board and the ranking in it enables admission for Undergraduate Engineering Programmes in NITs, IIITs and other centrally funded technical institutions (CFTIs), but not IITs.
