iPhone 6S, 6S Plus Leaks at Glance: Apple Ups Ante Ordering 90 Million Units by Dec End

appleiPhone maker Apple has reportedly ordered its suppliers in China to manufacture up to 90 million units of its upcoming new mobile phone models, to be branded as iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus, for shipment before the end of December this year. It may be unveiled at its September conference, said a Wall Street Journal report.

It means Foxconn in China will see another 6 months of hardwork and workers’ suicide threats to churn out the huge numbers this year too.

Foxconn, the official supplier of iPhones since a decade, has 12 factories in nine Chinese cities and its largest facory is in Longhua, Shenzhen, where 3 to 4.5 lakh workers assemble phones round the clock for months to meet the worldwide demand for iPhones.

The second largest Foxconn factory is in Zhengzhou Technology Park in Henan province, with more than 1.2 lakh employees. Its other factories are spread over sites at Chengdu in Sichuan province and Wuhan in Hubei province in China.

Leaked Features:

As of now, the features known of iPhone 6S and its variant 6S Plus is about the usual 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch displays, which will come with Force Touch feature that has been included in its recently released Apple Watch and later appeared in the 12-inch MacBook.

The Force Touch technology can distinguish between a light tap and deep press, which means it can be an effective gaming pad as well. Even Forbes confirmed wthis quoting KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who also predicted that Apple would upgrade the iPhone 6S camera to 12MP.

Another leaked feature in the forthcoming Apple iPhone 6S is a faster LTE. Some leaked photos online by 9to5Mac hint at a possible “new Qualcomm-made LTE chip” that can fasten the LTE speed two times up to 300Mbps compared to the current iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

The speculations are going wild on the size which was expected oto be the same as iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.

Another unconfirmed leak was that Aple could add one more color to its smartphones in darker space gray as was its Apple Watch and the preference for the color may prompt the firm to introduce its variants in the lot this time.

Exact Release Date?

MicGadget.com has reported quoting Foxconn insiders that Apple will release the iPhone 6S at the Keynote conference on September 11, while the sibling iPhone 6S Plus will be released on September 18, not specifying why Apple is hitting on two launch ceremonies consecutively instead of releasing them at one go.

Another objection was that September 11 being a sad 9/11 memorial day, Apple may not venture it the day and may release both on September 8 or 18, according to GSM Arena.

MicGadget confirmed the reports that the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus manufacturing has begun at Foxconn and that the two devices will have a similar design structure resembling its current iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.

Foxconn employees have been feeding the news-hungry online Apple fans with bits of leaks that have proved right later.  Last week’s leak of an iPhone 6S schematic by a Foxconn employee showed that the new iPhone will have a 12-megapixel main camera, 2GB RAM, 4K video shooting capabilities, and 240fps slow motion.

Last week’s leak also pointed to an improved 5-megapixel front camera and a Qualcomm, ‘9X35’ Gobi Category 6 4G LTE modem and it would be 7-mm thick, which is slightly more than the iPhone 6, perhaps to accommodate the Force Touch sensors.
