Google has gone a step further from its Street View. Now it is showcasing the interiors of shops, gyms and restaurants to give a business edge to those behind the great exteriors on roads.

Initially launched as a pilot in April last year, it provides panoramic photos taken inside businesses. “We’ve been seeing renewed interest in the past few days because, as promised, we’re getting more imagery online,” Google spokeswoman Deanna Yick said. “The 360-degree views are really visually engaging, so we’re glad users are excited,” she said.

Many shops and restaurants in Japan, Australia, New Zealand and the United States have provided the Google Street View crew with ample opportunity to probe inside their establishments in order to capture images, which are now available on Google Maps.
