Google latest mobile Operating System Android 5.0 Lollipop has finally been rolled out, to be available on the new Nexus devices like Nexus 4, Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 tablets, besides the Nexus 9 and Nexus 6 soon.
Google said in its blog, “A number of apps that you know and love have been working hard to build material design into their framework. It is important that every app be able to take on its own unique personality and experience while fitting in the larger system.”
The updated Android 5.0 Lollipop will be updated in Motorola phones, including the Moto X, Moto G, Moto G with 4G LTE, Moto E, Droid Ultra, Droid Maxx, and Droid Mini. Motorola said within a month, it would update all its Moto E, Moto G and Moto X devices with the Lollipop updates.
Even Sony said its Z-series smartphones and tablets will be updated with the Lollipop 5.0. “We’ll be making Sony Mobile’s Android L upgrade available for the entire premium Z series: including Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR, Xperia Tablet Z, Xperia Z1, Xperia Z1S, Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia Z1 Compact, Xperia Z2, Xperia Z2 Tablet, Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3v, Xperia Z3 Compact and Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact.” Sony said on its website.
HTC said it will roll out updates of the Android L within 3 months after getting the software from Google. Right now, HTC said it would update only for its HTC One M8 and HTC One M7 devices, while others have to wait for 3 months.
