Rumors abound on “Game of Thrones” Season 6 cast with speculations going wild on who’s in and out of the next season of HBO’s hit series. Barring Jon Snow, many known faces are in again including Euron Greyjoy, Oldtown and Bran Stark.
While some spoilers have predicted that Jon snow and Castle Black will be making a brief appearance, perhaps showing that one death, other character like Daenerys is certain to return, and so are Sansa Stark, Dorne, Jaime Lannister with Prince Trystane Martell and King’s Landing in the season 6. While Tyrion is expected to oversee Meereen with Varys, Jorah and Daario may be spending time to find Daenerys.
Yohn Royce in “Game of Thrones” Season 5, often seen ridiculing Lord Robyn over his swordplay will be back again as the actor, Rupert Vansittart, himself has informed that he would be returning for a few episodes in the Season 6 of “Game of Thrones”. Also “A Song of Ice and Fire” fame, Yohn Royce may continue to play a detractor of Littlefinger, and persist with his mission to pose threat to Littlefinger by forming an army to attack the Boltons.
Casting calls so far also point out the return of Rickon with immense Northern action focusing on a “Lord of Noble Northern House” and “Lord of Northern Stronghold.” The call descriptions reveal them as Lord Jon Umber, or the Greatjon, and the latter as Lord Wyman Manderly.
While Rickon and Osha who headed to Last Hearth and the Umbers in Season 3 will return, Greatjon was almost forgotten after the opening season and recasting him brings in new focus. Greatjon played the prisoner taken away after attending the Red wedding in in “A Storm of Swords.”
Lord Manderly is another potential casting returning this season as the Grand Northern Conspiracy is gaining focus in the next season. Since Stannis is dead the “Game of Thrones” Season 6 may bring in a new storyline to bring back Sansa to be the Stark.
Another casting call for a “Legendary Fighter” points out the possible return of Ser Arthur Dayne, as his fighting skills make him definitely a “legendary” moniker and he may be brought back in a flashback for “Game of Thrones” Season 6.
There is also speculation that the threesome — Robert Baratheon, Ned Stark and Howland Reed — could return along with Ser Arthur Dayne and the Tower of Joy. A leaked video has already shown that a Red Priestess could be helping Varys and Tyrion run Meereen, perhaps at some Riverland action.
