Day 5: Bahubali 2 Collections Cross All Bollywood Records, Exceeds Its Own 2015 Record

‘Bahubali 2 – The Conclusion’ has moved past the Bollywood records set by Khans or Kumars so far only to usher in new outlook to the country’s entertainment industry. Moreover, the sequel has exceeded the revenues of its own first part “Bahubali: The Beginning” with its five-day gross figures coming.

According to, the film’s five-day gross revenues are around Rs.565 crore in domestic centres while overseas revenues will take the figure beyond Rs.700 crore. Defending the gross figures, the revenue tracking website said: For a film which is playing in various languages it is the gross figures that are used due to different rates of Entertainment Tax in different states and regional films getting reduced rates from state governments. The GROSS figure ‘Bahubali – The Conclusion’ is Rs.565 crore approximate, easily beating Bahubali (2015) which finished with Rs.519 crore apprx and Dangal (2016) which finished with 512 crore apprx.”

The Bollywood’s top ten grossing films are now filled with Bahubali 1 and 2 at Rs.518 crore and Rs.565 crore (in just 5 days), followed by Dangal reporting Rs.511 crore, PK at Rs.448 crore, Bajrangi Bhaijaan at Rs.422 crore, Sultan at Rs.418 crore, Dhoom 3 at Rs.363 crore, Kick at Rs.283 crore, chennai Express at 278 crore and # Idiots at Rs.273 crore.

Rajamouli has hinted that the film will be released in Japaneseand Chinese version soon and the sources in Japan said the film dubbing was done in Japanese and the release is likely in June.

Bahubali 2 starring Prabhas as Baahubali, Rana Daggubati as Bhallala Deva, Anushka Shetty as Devasena, Ramya Krishna as Rajmata Shivagami and Sathyaraj as Kattappa, has been making smashing revenues in Indian film industry.
