Saturday’s Juventus vs Barcelona 2015 Champions League final will take place in Berlin on Saturday after a brief opening ceremony with the Junges Ensemble Berlin Choir, 400 volunteer performers and soprano Nina Maria Fisher and tenor Manual Gomez Ruiz performing it in just 9 minutes. The final will begin at 7.45pm local time.
The match will be played at the Olympic Stadium, which is hosting for the first time the European Cup final though other cities hosted many times in the past — Munich (1980, 1993, 1997, 2012), Gelsenkircken (2004) and Stuttgart (1959, 1988). With a total capacity of 70,000, the stadium is expected to be full for the match.
Live Telecast will be available on TV channels ITV1, Sky Sports 1 and Sky Sports 5 in Europe while TenSports will show it in India.
Each club got 20,000 tickets and a third of the tickets will go to UEFA sponsors, while 6,000 were sold through the Uefa website in March and all the tickets were sold out sold out despite a high price of €5,286.
The winning team will get €10.5 million (£7.8m), the runners-up will get €6.5m (£4.8m).
Barcelona’s three heroes Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suárez are likely to kick off the ball while Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini has been ruled out with a calf injury. Chiellini may miss it but lucky that he may not be bit by Suarez, the way he did at the 2014 World Cup.
Barcelona to win 3-1 at full time.
