CBSE Class 10 Results to be Declared Only After June 1

With CBSE Class 12 results announced on time, CBSE spokesman told media that the Class 10 results will be announced only after finalization, which may take two more days. It means the results will be announced any time on Friday, June 2, 2017 or later during the weekend.

“We are not declaring the Class 10 results anytime today (Wednesday, May 31) or tomorrow (Thursday, June 1). We will notify in advance about the date of release of results after it is finalised,” CBSE spokesperson Rama Sharma told the Hindustan Times.

Last year’s Class 10 CBSE exam results were declared on May 28, but this year’s results were delayed by more than a week. This year, the number of students who took the exam went up beyond the usual 15 lakh and the pass percentage may hover around 96.3%.

In 2016, the overall pass percentage for CBSE 10th Exam stood at 96.21% which was marginally lower compared to 2015’s figure of 97.32%. Usually, girls outperform boys though the margin is negligible and the top performing centres for CBSE Class X exams last year was Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.

However, CBSE has not confirmed nor revealed any date so far.
