BJP puts ‘Foot in Mouth’ over Agarwal Gotra ad in Newspapers Against Kejriwal

Whether intentionally or unintentionally, BJP has given a weapon to AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal in a war of words just before the closure of campigning for Delhi Assembly elections.

In its newspaper ads, BJP said,”O anarchist…crores of citizens of the country mark Republic Day as a national occasion and are proud of it. And your disorderly gotra was ready to disrupt this as well.”

Ironic but BJP has walked unwittingly into caste politics and AAP was quick to slap a notice to either apologise for the ad or face complaint with the Election Commission. More than that, AAP has begun reaping benefits from BJP’s advertisement.

“The BJP can fight against me. But how can they call the entire Agarwal gotra a disruptive one,” Kejriwal questioned in his tweet. In all humility, he said, “We will complain to the Election Commission. The people of Delhi doesn’t like this abusive politics. On the day of polling people will reply to this,” in a tweet.

Bt his comrades Ashutosh and Kumar Bishwas were critical and calculative. “BJP stooped another low. Now it has attacked Kejriwal’s GOTRA in today’s advertisement.People belonging to his GOTRA will teach BJP Lesson,” he tweeted from his account @ashutosh83B.

Vishwas said, “The traders of the country have been the backbone of this country…The people of this city will teach the BJP a lesson during the polls.”

Yogendra Yadav, in his elegant view, said such ads help AAP in turn as they do not have money.”We don’t have any money of such kind, the BJP is doing such advertisements for us… we thank them. One interview Kiran Bedi does is enough to help us for the next five days,” Yadav said. “I’m surprised that the EC approved the advertisement put out by the BJP,” he told the media.

Thanks to BJP, the volunteers of AAP are upbeat now that they may get some support from the Agarwal community, which is strong in Delhi. Ironic but the BJP still lacks talent in advertising for elections.

  1. Aravind is such a twisted man…the adv said “AAP ka upadravi gotra”…meaning Aap party’s rebellious nature….So when he called Bedi’s poster “opportunistic was he calling all women of this country “opportunistic”….
