‘Baahubali’ Asked to Remove Casteist Dialogue in Tamil Version

As alleged some theaters in southern Tamil Nadu were showing casteist reference in the SS Rajamouli’s blockbuster film Baahubali, the Madras High Court today directed TN government to issue a notice to all the District Collectors about the Censor board’s decision.

Justice R. Sudhakar and Justice V.M. Velumani of the Madurai bench said the District Collectors should ensure that the deleted portion of the dialogue was not shown in the Tamil version of the movie.

Court had earlier ordered notice to Information and Broadcasting Ministry and Regional Censor Board against the casteist reference.

In Madurai a group of Dalit outfit last month had attacked a theater.
