The Hollywood flick “Avengers: Age Of Ultron”, directed by Joss Whedon, based on the Marvel Comics superhero is a sequel to 2012 film “The Avengers” that made a record in India too.
The storyline is about Tony Stark who reignites a dormant software in a humanoid that is equipped with self-teaching artificial intelligence. But it turns around and decides to elimnate the human race from Earth, prompting the Avengers to come together and defeat Ultron and save the mankind.
Starring Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Aaron Taylor-Johnson among others, the film was shot in South Africa, Italy, South Korea, Bangladesh, New York and UK.
With a host of promos in India, the film is likely to capture a major chunk of audience in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, close on the heels of “Fast and Furious 7” that rocked the native Telugu and Hindi films last week. With Hollywood making inroads into India, the film is likely to reveal the trend by tomorrow when box office figures are out.
Besides today’s releases, last week film “OK Bangaram” and the previous week’s film “S/o Satyamurthy” of Allu Arjun will also face tough competition at the box office this weekend.
