As Bollywood’s most respected actor and an icon Amitabh Bachchan turned 74 on Tuesday, many big and small people greeted him sincerely and many media outlets let out their archive power of Big B’s great achievements over the period.

Amitabh Bachchan started his film career in the late 1960s and dominated the Bollywood in the 1970s with hit films like Deewar, Zanjeer, Sholay, Don, while in his later career Black, Sarkar, Agneepath, Paa, Piku and Pink made him an icon in the film indsutry.

The megastar of Bollywood nearly lost his life after an accident while filming for his "Coolie" in Bangalore and the whole nation was praying for his recovery, including then PM Indira Gandhi.
