Ajay Devgn refuses to jump on the bandwagon for eight-pack trend

Actor Ajay Devgn believes in being muscular and fit rather than running after six-pack and eight-pack abs that other actors have flaunted in their films, of late, including Aamir Khan and Salman khan.

“For ‘Action Jackson’, the makers wanted me to sport a bulky body, which was very easy for me to achieve.

“I believe six-pack and eight-pack abs make you weak. They look nice, but they can make you physically weak. I believe you should be muscular and fit. I don’t want to promote eight-pack abs,” Ajay said.

The actor, who is currently busy promoting his film “Action Jackson”, says there is no buffoonary in the film.

“Prabhudheva is a very good actor himself and there is no buffoonary comedy in the film, and his comic timing is great. I enjoyed working with him,” he said.

  1. Ajay Devgan is an intense actor and no Khan can boast of performances like Deewangee, Gangaajal, Thakshak, Pyar to hona hi tha and Yuva. What Khans do is capture as many halls as possible in India and overseas, raise ticket prices to the highest and promote their films 24 X 7 before release due to high budget. Both Ajay and Akshay are deliberately relegated to smaller films with lower budget, lesser halls, lower ticket prices and consequently lesser promotion due to low budget.

Here is the budget of movies of the last 2 years of the Khans and Ajay and Akshay.

Jai HO Budget – 75 crores.
Happy New Year – 125 crores.
    PK – 85 crores.

Son of Sardar – 30 crores.
    Golmaal 3 – 40 crores.
    Holiday – 30 crores.
    Rowdy Rathore – 45 crores.
