After Dumping One Direction, Zayn Malik Now Dumps Perrie Edwards, Calls Off Their Two-Year Old Engagement

Zayn Malik seems to be playing the field way too much lately. Following his shock departure from One Direction after five years, he has now dumped his fiancée, Perrie Edwards from the Brit girl band, Little Mix.

The news has reportedly left Perrie “devastated,” albeit she has been sporting a brave face while on a current US tour to promote Little Mix’s hit single “Black Magic”.

As per reports by E! Edward’s friends are standing as pillars behind the 22-year-old pretty blonde stronger than ever, and those include her bandmates, Jade Thirwall, 22, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 23, and Jesy Nelson, 24 as well.

Together termed as “Zerrie” by their fans, Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards started dating shortly after Little Mix won the 2011 X-Factor U.K. In August 2013, Zayn popped the question to his pretty lady to which she gladly said yes.

With their careers demanding a good deal of time from them, the two have been holding back their wedding for a long time. Nevertheless, this news comes off as real shock only weeks after the young popstars bought a 3 million Euros house together, as reported by The Sun.

According to reports by The Sun, Edwards is not just devastated, but “absolutely livid,” over the break-up of her four-year old whirlwind romance with the former 1D heartthrob.

According to US Weekly, Zayn broke off the engagement to want to have a fresh start. “He just wanted to move on and start over in all ways,” the report added.

The pair struggled with break-up rumors more than once after cheating allegations of Zayn haunted them. The Sun also reported a friend of Edwards, saying that despite all that she’s been through, the blonde stood beside Zayn always and stayed his “rock – and this is how she’s been repaid.”

Zayn has been exploring many new things ever since he left One Direction from getting a nose piercing, becoming bald, and dyeing his hair white to signing a solo record deal to make “real music”
