The TV series is an adaptation of the British series Tonight’s the Night, which revolves around  common people who have accomplished something extraordinary. Amitabh Bachchan has been finalised to host the show, 15 years after he launched Kaun Banega Crorepati, that was an adaptation of a popular British TV series.

STAR Plus and Amitabh Bachchan come together after 15 years saying, “Together, we can do so much more!” in the words of Amitabh Bachchan and STAR India CEO Uday Shankar.

The showbiz stalwarts have come together to once more change the grammar of creativity and entertain and inspire Hindi audience for a TV show that Star Plus claimed to be an entirely a new one in the last four decades.

Uday Shankar, CEO, STAR India, said: “Our vision has been to inspire a billion imaginations and we have aimed to do that with every content offering.”
He assured the audience that ‘Aaj Ki Raat Hai Zindagi’ with Amitabh Bachchan will not only entertain but also “inspire individuals and leave them with a reason to smile.”
While the credit for KBC goes to Uday Shankar’s predecessor Peter Mukerjea, the success of the latest one based on similarly popular British TV series Tonight’s the Night, will test Uday Shankar’s acumanship.
Echoing similar views, Amitabh Bachchan said: “Having started my television journey with STAR India, I was always looking to associate with Star Plus again. However I was keen that we come together for a befitting show that carries forward the legacy. When I heard about Aaj Ki Raat Hai Zindagi, I instantly connected with it. I genuinely believe that media is a powerful vehicle to inspire change but we have to achieve this in an entertaining manner. What I love about this show is that it is a thoroughly entertaining show, but has its heart in the right place. I am really looking forward to it.”
Presented by Maruti Suzuki, Aaj Ki Raat Hai Zindagi was sponsored by Cadbury Dairy Milk and it will hit TV screens soon STAR Plus. The show will also be available on hotstar.
