Telugu movie hero Nandamuri Balakrishna’s house has been burgled and gold ornaments worth 300 grams valued at about Rs 900,000, just days after the release of his latest flick “Adhinayakudu”, which has grossed good collections at box office, giving respite to an agitated actor running into old age.
Known as Balayya, the actor’s Banjara Hills residence was robbed by an unknown person on May 24 when the actor and his wife and other family members were not there in the house. His relative Prasad Babu was in possession of the house keys overseeing renovation work going on, reports said.
The Jubilee Hills police team in Hyderabad has registered a case and the finger prints available in the bed room have been taken. No arrests have been made. The actor was away from Hyderabad on shooting for his forthcoming film when the incident took place.
Balakrishna was in news few years ago when he shot his producers for not running his films for 100 days in row and his brother-in-law Chandrababu Naidu, former chief minister and chief of opposition Telugu Desam party, has reportedly resolved the issue. Currently, Balakrishna is a key election campaigner for Telugu Desam.
Balakrishna was the youngest son of Telugu film hero Late NT Rama Rao, who founded Telugu Desam. Nandamuri family has a legacy of dominating the Tollywood in the last six decades. Apart from Balakrishna, NTR’s grandson Junior NTR is currently a popular hero in Telugu films.
